In order to reduce energy loss during the day, Menken Salads has chosen to make use of the various applications of a high-pressure industrial air curtain. High-pressure air curtains are a suitable solution for reducing the energy consumption in both cold stores and freezer rooms. The high-pressure industrial air curtain were delivered and installed by the company Air In Motion. Due to the unique functioning of the high-pressure industrial air curtain (AFIM® Air Doors), the temperature in the cold stores and freezer rooms are easily maintained even during the warm summer months.

The advantage of a high-pressure industrial air curtain at a cold storage is that logistically speaking, a lot of time is saved. Furthermore, virtually no cold is lost to the adjacent areas during transport through the passageway.
